The Economics & Policy group of the Cambridge Judge Business School invites abstract or paper submissions on the theme of “Unintended Consequences of Regulation” to be held in Cambridge, UK on 24 April 2020.
We welcome submissions (extended abstracts or full papers) across any microeconomics field (public, finance, labour, industrial organization, health, behavioural, energy or environmental) that analyse policy changes with either positive or negative results or no effect that had consequences beyond the ones targeted through the intervention. These can include either backfire effects or unintended side effects of the policy.
The purpose of this conference is to share insights and important lessons to be learned across fields and cases both for academics and policymakers.
